This is the ref 270.8.54 limited to 300 pieces with blue face instead of the classic black . Very nice blue before this color was trendy ...  

I had the Tribute to small seconds duoface that I liked a lot (great piece!)... but once I got this one, it´s size felt just right and the dials are more timeless (classic), at least for me... so I decided to let go the newer one in favor of this duo from...

I prefer the old style of dials on these duos. That blue is awesome, there is also a salmon one which is tempting too…

and yes, the salmon dial is a beauty

rare indeed given only 300 were produced.

I have to admit that sometimes I have been tempted to exchange it for a Rouge (1931), but end up keeping the duo for versatility (but loooove the Rouge)

Mine is also one of the first 300. I bought mine in the early 2000’s. Sorry about the poor focus! ...

I have never seen another “Serie Première” Duo in real life. I have asked and searched for more information about the history of this version of 300 examples, but all I have ever received is shrugs and don’t knows. Mine is one of the first 100 to be made ...
