I saw this watch today and I am curious of how many variants (hands/dials/etc) were made for the US market during the old days?... was a common practice to replace parts with "what was available" at the time?... I see so many different combinations on the web...

The problem is that Lecoultre US lost all their archives, and that it is hard to say how many versions existed. You had the Lecoultre and the Jaeger Lecoultre versions ( especially the Jumbo, which is the most impressive with its 37 mm case ). Here is a P...
