Need expert help: Jaeger E399
Hi watch experts!
I am a complete newbie who found this community via Google.
Wondering if someone might be able to share their expertise for a minute with a stranger who would be very grateful.
My grandfather gave me a Jaeger E399 Stainless Steel before he passed away years ago. It's never been worn and has been kept in its storage box essentially since he gave it to me when he came to Canada from South Africa in the early 80s.
According to the watch documentation it's an E399, Movement # 1858639, Case # 1030045 - purchased April 1 1971 in South Africa.
So the question to you guys is: is this watch sought-after by collectors? Is it worth anything? Should I be wearing it on my wrist or trying to sell it?
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
Cheers,
Justin
