Jaeger Lecoultre Duomètre A Chronographe, White Gold. 3 years of joyful ownership.

 By: amanico : December 26th, 2019-01:14
The Duomètre à Chronographe certainly is one of my most important watch, I would even say inside and outside Jaeger Lecoultre. I said it many times, but since its unveiling, it has been an instant love affair, at the point I ordered it, in platinum, at th...

So nice......

I need one in my life 😬 and Nico, sent you a message...

I wholeheartedly agree with you. It’s indeed a marvellous watch from Jaeger LeCoultre.

I have not yet seen this watch in flesh but in pictures it really looks worth having in any serious collection. Wear it in good health friend. Regards

Even better in the real! [nt]

What a fantastic and mesmerizing watch!

 By: MTR : December 26th, 2019-04:52
This is a watch that could be also grail watch for me. I fervently hope that you don’t miss your „lossed“ Platinum version too much. I don‘t know if this is a little consolation for you, but I personally find the dial of your „compensation“ WG version muc...

So happy for you, my friend.

 By: SpanishCastle : December 26th, 2019-05:58
I've always loved that watch. In the exact configuration that you have it. The last comment is very poetic. It seems to me that you have managed to express what I have only felt for one watch until now. Me, myself, was an Heuer Camaro. I deeply missed tha...

this is a special piece

 By: keks : December 26th, 2019-06:16
could be among my absolute favorite creations from the house of JLC... such a cool and beautiful piece!

Merci! [nt]

Thanks for the thoughts and pics of your Duometre!

 By: Fastwong : December 26th, 2019-09:33
I picked up a Duometre chrono recently and your past posts definitely helped my decision, thank you! Datograph/1815, 5170, Breguet 5287, centigraphe, etc I tried on a lot amazing chronographs this year but the JLC really stood out to me as a unique offeri...

Sublime watch

An absolute ode to high horology and as usual , beautifully captured by your lens. May it grace your wrist many more years.

I’ve been interested in that model a lot lately

 By: Francoamerican : December 26th, 2019-13:05
It’s basically an accessible “grand complication” from a brand that’s tough to argue with!

One of the best from JLC, all watches considered.

 By: vitalsigns : December 26th, 2019-18:09
And nice background. I notice many corks from Burgundies enjoyed. Cheers, John

Fine wine is indeed best enjoyed with friends...

 By: vitalsigns : December 27th, 2019-09:41
Or did they only supply the corks?!?

Bah! Small consolation :) [nt]

The very best of dial aesthetic!

 By: Prodyutb : December 27th, 2019-00:02
Such clarity of layout; on par with the very best dial layouts of any contemporary makers including the independents, in my honest opinion.

Sublime!

 By: Watcholic_id : December 27th, 2019-21:11
the black dial is my favorite among the Duometres. Marvelous!

Love this watch, but

 By: EinPa : December 28th, 2019-10:26
This is one of my favorite watches and price wise it’s a steal, especially in the secondary market. The reason I haven’t bought one was my fear that servicing it will become increasingly difficult and costly as watchmakers and repairmen continue to dwindl...

Certainly not an issue in our lifetimes

 By: EinPa : December 31st, 2019-10:40
But I expect my collection to be the foundation of my grandkids collections. Hence my concerns.

True

 By: EinPa : December 31st, 2019-11:05
I’m just a worry wart

LOL! [nt]

It's hard to think how so many have looked past this watch

 By: Brandon Skinner : December 29th, 2019-22:21
It's simply extraordinary. Easy to read, delightfully complicated and completely original. As you say, even the finishing is possibly nicer than anything else JLC releases. I think many of us 20 years from now and wonder, "how did we miss this one when we...

I love love love this particular configuration

 By: EinPa : December 31st, 2019-11:04
Best of best IMHO

Thanks, EinPa. [nt]

Lovely Watch

 By: benlee338 : January 1st, 2020-01:59
Duometre is my favourite JLC line hands down. I have the same watch. Mine is coming to 8 years ( I think ) and has never been serviced before. I am thinking of sending it in for service. But there's nothing wrong with the watch, except some hairline scrat...

A beautiful Duometre Nico.

To be accompanied by its big brother soon... The Duometre Rattrapante! 🤞

Well, it’s not like JLC have not had the time. ;)

 By: cory : January 4th, 2020-11:05
It’s been a while since we have seen a new Duometre.

Any little hope? [nt]

 By: cory : January 13th, 2020-01:05

We'll soon see... [nt]

 By: amanico : January 13th, 2020-02:05

Just dropped my Duometre off for service...

 By: Fastwong : January 2nd, 2020-19:46
... and they did warn me unprompted that the patina would get removed with the cleaning process but would return on its own with time. I suppose the cleaning chemicals could remove the patina but not sure that makes sense...

I heard

 By: benlee338 : January 4th, 2020-05:38
Lange does the same. Its part of the standard procedure to "wash" the movement. The drawback is that it get rid of the patina.

Two words

 By: Jurry : January 4th, 2020-06:52
Impressive beauty

Thanks, Jurry. [nt]

was on vacation with my wife and family during the holidays and just got back. You know how much I love the Duometre series and especially this black dial Chronograph. I will make a new post as I got a little surprise during the holidays 😁👍

Custom strap already ordered...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : January 6th, 2020-08:03
I already ordered a custom strap for the black dial like the platinum dial. Hope it matches the black dial like the platinum 🤷‍♂️😁

That goes for both of us 👍 [nt]

 By: holdemchamp1225 : January 6th, 2020-08:32

Quick and small teaser for the strap...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : January 11th, 2020-08:55
I selected this black nubuck alligator hide with large square scales for the strap itself. And also selected the same nubuck alligator hide for the lining but smaller scales Sort of like the blue nubuck multi-tonal alligator I have on the Duometre à Chron...

For me as well...but didn't you tell me you wanted to get a different strap for your Duometre also ?🤷‍♂️

 By: holdemchamp1225 : January 11th, 2020-09:51
I see a suede calf or alligator is in your future 😉

Hehehe... The " worse " I did...

Mine says hello.

 By: Horo_Traveler : January 10th, 2020-22:22
One of my all time favorites and reminiscent of a time when JLC was ascendant amongst its peers. ...

Beautiful. I have been following your post religiously:)
