Jaeger Lecoultre Tribute To Polaris 1968. A story, and a picture.
Jul 19, 2018,02:25 AM
There often are stories behind our watches. This Jaeger-Lecoultre Tribute to Polaris 1968 is one of them.
At the end of the year 2008, I bought one, which I owned till the 18th of January 2011. At this moment, I was at the SIHH, at the JLC booth, when I received a telephone call to inform me that I have just been burglarized.
Among the watches which were stolen to me was the Tribute To Polaris 1968, and 3 other Jaeger Lecoultre watches.
Jerome Lambert was in front of me and immediately felt that something happened. He asked me, I told him, and his answer was: " We will do something for you ".
6 months later, I received a phone call, a better one, this time, to tell me that a surprise was waiting for me.
The surprise? This Tribute To Polaris... Prototype!
Here it is, rolling deep into the sea.
The case back tells the story:
The morality of this story: Sometimes something good can come from something bad.
Best,
Nicolas.
