Jaeger Lecoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar Steel Boutique Edition and White Gold. ( 2013 )

So close and so different

The Steel version was available at the Boutiques, only. Which was not the case of the white gold.

The Steel.

The white gold has more contrast due to the blackened indices and hands. Moreover, the dial is grained. The moon and the stars are not golden, on this version.

Both versions have this superb Master " Ultra Thin " case, which is not that Ultra Thin, but the profile and the lugs are really charming.

In May, I will post my review on the MUT Perpetual Guilloché Blue enamel from this year. Just the time for you to keep these earlier versions in mind!

Best,

Nicolas

I like the gold version.

The main reason (I know it sounds crazy) is golden coloring of the stars and moon. I think it just clashes with the white metal. Thanks for sharing these wonderful shots. 🍻

For more contrast and golden moon....

One can consider tge black dial version ...

WG purely for the attractiveness of the grained dial...

JLC exactly knows how to make sensual grained dials - i've seen few other houses make grained dials but by far JLC stands out. Best, mahesh.,
