Jaeger Lecoultre Master Minute Repeater Titanium and Master 8 Days Perpetual Skeleton Platinum.

In 2009, I think I had the pinnacle of my JLC collection, Gyrotourbillon apart, among the modern watches from this brand.

I owned the Master Minute Repeater Titanium, the Master 8 Days Perpetual Skeleton Platinum, the Duomètre à Chronographe in Platinum, and the Reverso Septantième in Platinum, as well. Without mentioning the Tributes to Polaris 1965, 1968, The Amvoxes, the NSA, and a plethora of vintage JLCs.

Nowadays, I still have a trio of high end JLCs I will soon post, but I wanted to focus on these two:

The problem is that one killed the other... The Master Minute Repeater is the killer, with its 15 days power reserve ( versus 8 for the Perpetual Calendar ), its torquemeter, and of course, its crazy minute repeater, which is as innovative as it is a very young and fresh vision of this traditional and noble complication.

But don't get me wrong, I really loved that Master 8 Days Perpetual!

That was a great duo.

Best,

Nicolas

If you are, I'll take either one, or maybe both if I can get hold of the checkbook without my wife noticing! Or are these the ones that sadly someone else got? Cazalea

It was a great set although

Thanks for sharing. Interesting to see that the MMR still looks very contemporary given the time of its production.

Thanks for sharing these beauties.

The skeleton movement in the perpetual is madness, it impressed me when it was released. I've played with it a few times, and with the help of a loupe I really enjoyed its movement. The sound of the Master Repeater is among my favorite, loud and clear, no...

Have you ever compared the titanium minute repeater to the rose gold variation? I wonder if the gold one is much heavier. I love both watches but would definitely choose the minute repeater if I had to have only one.
