How do you like the Master Minute Repeater in platinum?
White or black dialed?
The White dialed one was unveiled in 2005 in a limited edition of 200 pieces.
It was a revelation for many of us. I dreamed at first sight, to tell you all. And it was only beaten, one year after, by the titanium version and its open dial, at least according to my personal taste.
A few years after, in 2008 or 2009, the Black dialed version came, in a Boutique Edition. Also with a platinum case.
More powerful, less understated, as often when you go from a white to a black dial.
Both don't lack charm...

Yes, I’ve seen and read and am excited to see what comes from JLC in the coming years.... next year will be exciting to see the new HM GC as I have no idea what to expect but a new mechanism sounds VERY promising.
One things for sure...
I really hope JLC bring this new HM to a higher level of overal case design and exceptional movement finish. I personally feel they need to focus more and carefully consider the level of finish on the mechanism/movement and raise the bar.
I'd take either one, although my preference is the white dial

The MMR Boutique is a top favorite of mine and a current pursuit. While I'll grant that it's not as original as the first, and the printed text on the dial almost overwhelms, I still adore it and its imperfections. Best, Tim
Amazing Duo !.. Although I normally tend to black dials, I guess I would choose the white/ Titanium.. True power Duet shot here !

I prefer the black dial...
It is more “stealthy” as it contrast less with the movement through the openings. But then, one should not normally look at MR to tell time, you listen . /W72

The black dial watch has aged better since the 2000s. A silver dial is ideal for a delicate dress-style watch like a Breguet 7147. But at 44mm, the delicacy gives way to brutality, and the black dial better suits the character of the 44mm Master Minute Re...
