Jaeger Lecoultre Master 8 Days Perpetual Calendar Skeleton Blue and Green Enamel.

The 8 Days Perpetual is a watch I always liked. Since its introduction in 2003, in platinum, plain dial called " Antoine Lecoultre " , we had several versions. And among them, a superb skeleton, in 2007, available in platinum, first, then in rose gold, one year later ( Jubilée collection for the rose gold ).

The Antoine Lecoultre:

The 2007 Skeleton platinum:

The 2008 Jubilée " 1833 ".

Then, in steel, in 2011.

Back to the Skeletonized movement, in 2014, with the Blue Enamel, then, the Green. With  less modern finishings, more " traditional ", " classic ", and certainly more legible than the 2007 and 2008 versions.

The Blue and Green had a nicer case, at least according to my taste, the Master Grande Tradition. More elegant than the now outdated Master....

But personally, I prefer the more modern skeleton from 2007.

You?

Best,

Nicolas

I've always been drawn to the Green, though the Antoine Lecoultre and original skeleton versions are right there, too. Thanks again. M4

Wow, again some JLC which I had not really acknowledged / seen.

Those early skeletons do seem like legibility might be an issue and you seem to confirm this in your text. But I think I agree that the most recent skeletons are somewhat ornate or fancy and therefore less wearable. What diameter are these watches? Was th...

... The skeleton, per se. Of course, when it comes to JLC, all bets are off. The skeletonized Master 8-day Perpetual Calendar is a marvel. I think I recognize that non-skeletonized piece - Scott

actually, I like both last versions with the blue and green enamel...

I think the peripheral enamel is adding a contrast that makes a better legibility....since green is rather less common, I would prefer that version...
