Oh! Come on!

You read my mind? I actually have an opportunity to get a used (but in mint condition) True Second, and you came up with this post!

I'm still torn between the true second and the Master Compressor Chronograph 2, if I decide to get another JLC to pair up with my Reverso GT.

TS vs MCC2:
Look:          TS is casual, but not dressy   /   MCC2: definitely sporty
WR:            TS 5 bar       /    MCC2  10bar
Size:           TS 40mm     /    MCC2  41.5mm
Thickness:  TS 11.8mm  /    MCC2  13.3mm

Both have their appeals. Maybe wait to see what JLC will offer at SIHH 2017?

We had passionate discussions about the name of that watch. With some good and strong points, pro and con. Though, it is a nice and serious watch. Well made, with a good movement high lighting its specificity, the true second. When it is time to measure t...

I would be you, I would go for the True Second. Because of its movement. I wold also wait 3 more weeks, just to see what JLC will offer / unveil. Best, Nicolas

That's also why I'm leaning more towards the True Second.

The True Second has some real technological advancement going on, including the true second mechanism and the Gyrolab balance. I know I want something less dressy, more casual, or sporty elegance, but not military looking.

You never know. [nt]

Well, why not ...

The pair? MCC 2 for sportive looks and the Geophysic for business and social. Cheers, Nilo

A true JLC

while that may sound odd - it is meant as a compliment. A restrained, almost austere case and dial with a great implementation of an interesting complication. Definitely one to return to & appreciate its quietness Cheers JML

Sorry for that Nicolas but I will stop reading your posts.

Each time I do so it adds another watch to my wish list ! Best. Christian

Geophysic or Geomatic? :)

Really like the TS personally, for the cool complication and for how well it all fits together. And I guess if it was launched under the Geomatic name, more Purists would flock to it Could well enter my collection at some point in time... Thanks for shari...

I must confess ...

When the True Second was released, I had a strong negative view of this complication. My naive thinking was: "Why in heaven JLC is taking the pains to release a movement that mimics ... quartz?". After some education, I got the Universal Time but I forgot...

Grazie a ti, Massi. [nt]

Do you wear this one often Nicholas? Also, that shot of the movement is great! I want to get one just so I can stare at it under the loupe!

Ah lucky you!

What a great relationship to have with the brand! I can never imagine myself wearing it a lot, even though I really like looking at it.

Well put! [nt]
