Jaeger Lecoultre Amvox Transpondeur. An horological UFO.

Nov 24, 2018,11:25 AM

The Amvox II is an original watch, with its unique chronograph, whose case replaces the chrono pushers.

The Amvox Transpondeur is also unique because it can open or close your Aston Martin DBS!

Here are the pictures I found in an old CD ROM...

Ok, to fully enjoy it, you need to own the car, and not everybody's car...

But the Transpondeur always gave me an idea... A challenge. The Chrono works due to a vertical pivoting case... What if you added a complication working thanks to a horizontal pivoting case, too?

Like a GMT, for example.

The Amvox family is dead with the Amvox 7. But we could imagine something with the Polaris case, which is close....

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

Would definitely welcome a new JLC concept watch with new complication and pivoting be brutally honest, Im not a fan of the new Polaris case so would rather see it have its own identity.

Perhaps I need to see, touch and feel more before I can conclude ;)

I love the idea and hope JLC will bring back such creativity and magic again for us JLC fans.

To me, I think it is both timeless and advance

Horological UFO. Nicely put . I love it of course and do think you need the car to go with it . That last advertising image I've never seen, it looks excellent!! Cheers, Filip

I do not have a DBS to go along with the watch but I do have a Rapide so does that count One thing I can say is that it makes you feel like 007 with a tool toy when you do have it on to match the car. ...

I can easily imagine that. Lucky you.

JLC need to innovate and take some risks again.

This watch typifies what they can do if you demolish whatever committees they have recently been subjugating themselves to. The ennui of current mainstream Swiss watchmaking together with their rather aspirational (irrational) pricing has unfortunately dr...

As a further riposte to current Swiss watchmaking,

I've always wanted to see JLC release it in a steel version....

 By: watchme : November 26th, 2018-06:41
that wouldn't be "AmVox," but some kind of Master...or a new name, but that would be programmable to any car. -Dean

JLC did release this model in Ti and RG which was the successor to the all RG model...

the Ti and RG pairs well together and not as heavy as the full RG model. I had both but kept just the RG model. It also came in all titanium as well I believe but never in SS.
