Jaeger Lecoultre Amvox One Titanium. Gone but not forgotten.

Nov 28, 2019,23:23 PM

This is a watch I got in 2005, and which I let go in 2017. A watch I liked a lot and which I didn't forget.

A modern vision of the Polaris, with its very same case, at the exception of the material, here titanium, and  its new dial design.

Here is my " ex ":

And the one I couldn't grab, a limited edition of 20 pieces, launched the same year. ( Credit picture: Sothebys ).

These old companions will always have a special place in our memory.

I am surprised, Nico. I think it has a timeless quality to it. Of course you have some heavy hitters in the same category!

Yes, I know

Watches must be enjoyed on the wrist. Not much fun in the safe!

Me as well

I need to sell some. I feel bad about having a bunch I never wear. However selling is lot slower than buying ;-)

The yellow accent LE catches my eye for sure. M4

I love these Amvox alarms, especially the first one pictured.

But the maddening non-quickset date always excluded the piece from serious consideration.

La Grande Maison can do it, no doubt.

Desire and economics are presumably the only barriers.
