Jaeger Lecoultre 159 SHOM.
Freshly taken in picture, a simple watch from the 40's, with some history, as it belonged to the Service Hydrographique et Océanographique de la Marine ( French Marine ).
Not many were made, even though it is hard to give a precise idea. I've seen a batch of 12. The highest number was 24. I guess other were made, but how much...
Here is the watch in question:
A specificity, a kind of secret signature: The good dials must have Fabriqué en Suisse below the Jaeger Lecoultre signature for the 159 SHOM.
Needless to say that this is the kind of bird you only see once or twice in a collector's lifetime...
