I have no racing/karting background, so any track-focused car would need to have all the support tech necessary
996 and 997 GT3s scare me.
They're easily spun. One definitely has to have a real understanding of driving with these cars. The new ones, 991 models and later, are incredible. You can be a total newbie who doesn't know how to drive and the traction control will save you from yourse...

I'll have to take your word for it! The Lamborghini Huracan bug has bitten me and now I only think about mid-rear engines. But that's a really nice GT3 Touring. Very nice indeed!
I've had two Cayman's, a GTS and a GT4 (both 981's)
And I can say that they are exceptional cars. But, a normally aspirated V10 is much too special to pass up...👍
GT4 is definitely a great machine!
I haven't driven one, but a friend in the BMW Car Club has two of them and tells me there's nothing better. And I bet he's probably right!

Interesting
The responsiveness that some find intimidating is what I love. But I tracked an 86 Carrera for years and instruct with a specialty of working on car control on the skidpad since 2000. That’s said the 991 is a special beast!
