I was in a similar position earlier in the year.

I ended up with the Amvox 2 Chronograph Racing from 2009. I went for plain titanium because I was concerned about the PVD scratching (my OCD tendencies would come to the fore if I had a scratch on a PVD watch and I am not sure how easy/costly it would be for JLC to re-PVD the watch).
I think the original Amvox 2 in titanium or PVD is the cleanest and best looking of the different Amvox 2 variations but the lack of a running seconds hand ruled that out for me. I like some "life" on the dial.
Apart from the Amvox 2 I bought, I think the stainless steel version with with the silver and black dial looks fantastic and it could be used more easily in more formal settings than the other Amvox 2 variations, given the varied colours that they use. I agree with you that the Amvox 7 looks great too.
I also agree with much of what Claus said above. It is a bulky watch but the titanium and curved back makes it easy and comfortable to wear. The bulk is not far off of my Rolex Deepsea but of course the Amvox is much lighter and more immediately comfortable to wear.
With my middle age eyes I can't read the chronograph minute counter or date without glasses! With a normal chronograph minute hand I can readily see where it is but with the rotating minute disc on the Amvox you are reliant on being able to read the numbers, which are small. As Claus says, the date is deep set within the dial and so when the date gets into double digits I find it hard to read because the numbers are small.
My Amvox winds very smoothly. Easily as good as my Rolexes. However, my Amvox was serviced in March.
Overall, I am very pleased with the watch. It looks interesting, it has interesting/unique functionality and, as a Brit, I like the (subtle) association with Aston Martin.
Best of luck with your search Hussam!
