I agree on the strap, and disagree on the buckle, Neil
Get yourself a nice tropic strap, and you will see that the buckle is perfect, IMO.
JLC took their inspiration from the vintage Buckle which was on the tropic straps of the era.
As for the strap, I let it in the box, and I hunted several for the Pola.

I don't find it aesthetically very nice, first. Then, it is always a pain when you close the double folding buckle once on your wrist. I preferred the simple folding buckle from the beginning of the year 2000, for example. Best, nicolas

I agree, the folding JLC deployant doesn't feel nearly as comfy as a simple buckle. After wearing a custom made strap with a sewn in simple buckle for weeks now , I truly believe this 100%. The strap feels like something that should have come with the JLC...

Although I like the double folding clasp and I find it perfectly comfortable, I have occasionally thought it looks clunky - like too much metalwork for such a svelte watch. I'd be interested to see pics of your MUT when the buckle arrives, Dave. Best, J.
