solved by now. I stumbled upon this article by searching "duometre review". Not. a good sign for such a brand
Personally I also have issue with two JLC Master Perpetual ultra thin (me and my brother both one each, just few months differences between the purchases). His jumps a day so it now went for full service.
Mine has the wrong moonphase, This said both watches were bought 7 years ago so long outside the standard warranty that was in place back then (warranty should now be 8 years).
If you don't mind I would like to ask some questions about your very bad experience with that duometre lunaire:
1) It seems that you bought the watch not new (I think I read it dated to 2011) but did you buy it from the boutique? If not I am confused as it seems to be a case of an old watch outside the warranty that has some problems.
2) From our photos it seems that you also own a gorgeous Duometre Chronometer. Did you have some problems with this watch too ?
I appreciate that this was a huge disappointment during your special birthday but I wouldn't destroy the watch
why not undertake a full service and then decide e.g. sell it (even better after a service) if you don't feel that you could enjoy it ?
If anything this posts reinforced my idea about not buying second-hand watches. This has been one of my few principles to ensure that when I buy a watch I can enjoy the long warranty that many brands offer and, additionally, I want watches to start their life with me.
Thanks in advance for your help (considering a duometre chronometer even if my experience with the brand has been mixed but the 8 years new warranty seems promising).
