Dear Etienne, A very good first day of the new year to you! Yes, my watch comes with a display case back, which was one of the major triggers on my part for this purchase...If it had a closed-caseback I would have moved on to something else. I attach here a contrasting photo--as best as I could muster--of the watch in the direct natural light, and away from the light. Depending on the angle too, one could also see the brushed patterns on the ruthenium dial, which is very nice. All said, I did not sense that this is at all a rare watch. The Pt model is most rare insofar as numbers are concerned. Presently, I am searching for the white gold mastermoon with the hunter's case. If anyone sees one of these for sale, please let me know.
