A quick look back to 2017.. A little glimpse and collage about what made this year special..

Friends, Most of you know, that one of my core collecting brands is JLC,

Memovoxes, Reversos and a few Chronos, such as the Amvox series..

In addition, my dear friend Nico is to blame for igniting this very spark,

featuring his love for the Duomètre line of watches in general,

and of the superb JLC Chronograph in particular.

Soon I was myself amidst some passionate looking left and right, reading a bit

here and else and hoping that „My Duomètre“ would find her way into

my realm. Hopefully at a time, when funds required were not 

overstretching the wallet.

- While initially I was attracted quite a bit by the black dialled 

Quantieme Lunaire, soon the à Chronographe caught my increasing 

attention and it started a hunt, a hunt keeping me busy for almost

three years, as I was looking for the black- dialled Chronographe in WG,

It proved pretty elusive for a long time, also as the watch had been

issued in a rather small series of 200, and that was already, AFAIK in 2010

( Nico, pls correct me !).

My final impetus happened, when Nico himself found his Duomètre 

Chronographe in black/ WG, the very one I had been after.

Finally, by end of last year, close to Xmas, I was able to source one

in excellent condition and a pure beauty.. 

- Luckily I was able to acquire it, although if I am honest, my watch budget for 2017

was already pretty much stretched at that point. - But I am sure you know these occasions -

you find something unexpectedly, offering you the chance to fulfill your respective

dream, or running the risk of not finding one for the next years to come.

Well, sorry for this somewhat lengthy rambling about why, about how & about

when, this sweet target was entering my stables.

I therefore will stop now, and just share one of my little collages, with the very watch

which made my last year complete and fulfilled a burning desire..

Well, without trying reading too much out of the crystal ball,

It appears quite possible, that being after one Duomètre it is pre another one..

We‘ll see what will be in the boxes for the times to come..

- Or rephrasing it: Not quite a question „IF“ but rather a question of  „when“.
