10k with PuristSPro 2 - Some 6-7 years in excerpted fly- back- Part 2
Friends, several of you had the kindness to look into the first part of my little
personal PPro history here & read about some of my watches & encounters, and also
about the little stories connected to our passion.
Here now Part 2, which gets us into years 2013 until now:
A welcomed pleasure were the finding of the JLC Chronograph "Shark",
Ref 2643/2 & another Memovox from the 70ies, the Ref. E 872, with
strong presence on the wrist, but also with a charming, masculine appeal.

MMV E872, a Ref I'm happily sharing with my good friend Blomman..
Next a splendid dresswatch, the Ref 1901 (1965) in WG, meanwhile
has emerged as a great timepiece for theatre & Opera,
rather low key but with a rare twist in hidden quality by
the material WG; thus a feature only known to the owner..

===2014===
2014, or the year of Rolex findings:
The new modern GMT in blue/black, the 116710 BLNR, the "Bruiser" or "Batman",
Meanwhile, together with my Milgauss, one of my favorite modern Rolex tool-pieces, which however can mold into an evening conversation with ease..
For me a great Ref, which I am happy & privileged to share with our friend Baron here

Great tool & travel-watch
As a next page, the finding of other Vintage GMTs, eg: a Vintage 1675 "Pepsi" red/ blue.
Or on it goes with some nice add-ons to my Military Series, such as Mark VII Weems,
Mark XI and a WWW.
Triplet Militaries: Mark 7 Weems & 11, + WWW
However, I am not going into too much detail for those now,
Further for this year, yet again in this Brand's domain, I would just like to mention the arrival of another Rolex Submariner; one more Sub 5513 with a nice grey, faded bezel
Sub 5513 & "Ghost" bezel
One of the collecting highlights of my yet modest Rolex collection also joined in 2014,
a 1675 GMT Master, gilt, CR, PCG & exclamation mark, from 1960.
A real Vintage treasure.
==GMT 1675 gilt
and the real McCoy, my personal epitome of this year 2014,
has been the finding of my GMT 6542.
This timepiece has been the one & only of this year, I definitely would
keep, even if I would part from some..

To mark the last third of 2014, a new brand came to my portfolio, Girard Perregaux.
My first GP was the find of a Traveller II Alarm, a modern Reference with black dial.

Last but not least, a true JLC iconic model highlights the end of my year 2014:
the TT Geophysic 1958, for which I had been subscribing among the first
distributed & am still really in love with this timepiece.
It's a re-edition, no better a hommage to the legend, the icon.
Initially received with some controversies, which soon has established itself
and meanwhile is successfully appreciated.

==2015==
For this year I will focus on just a few only:
Subsequently I was fortunately lucky enough to find two classical JLC
pieces:
one is a crosshair dresswatch, Ref E 329, which has a special b/w date
wheel ( even days: black on white, uneven: white on black);
one other was the early Memovox 3150, "hooded lugs"
Probably my JLC- year's absolute modern highlight was the JLC Geophysic
Universal Time, with Dead Second and a fascinating dial, IMHO.
I just share a single Collage of this new love: a bit eclectic, but refreshingly
unobtrusive, yet very nicely made, also from the movement side.
It offers the "Seconde Morte", the World Time module & a lovely
Caseback view on the gold rotor & the newly developed shape of
the " Gyrolab" balance wheel..

The year's end marked the occurance & subsequent acquisition
of several timepieces from GP, Vintages and a modern from this manufacture.
However, I will spare you these, as the dwellings may have bored you
already and would extend this comprehensive little look into the
last horological times.
2016==
For this year running there have been some interesting developments,
to some degree in the GP Vintage terrain, where a nice & early
SeaHawk & 2 Classical HF Chronometers were joining.
SeaHawk & Gyromatic Chronometer HF:
On the other hand it also brought me a very wished Traveller watch,
actually with Grande Date, GMT, Moon & remarkably a sapphire dial,
which renders interesting plays of light & transparency.
At certain angles it allows the partial look through into deeper
levels of the watch, but reflects also the longitude and latitude rays,
as a sort of retro-hommage to John Harrison, the famous clock maker,
who developed the first clocks for exact determination of the Longitude
on sea, essential for precise navigation.

Furthermore ? -
Well, I think, that was it & we will see,
what's in the boxes for this year ..
Hope, these pretty long dwellings
were not too boring for you.
It is and will be a privilege to be
here with you, hopefully for another 10k !..
My very Best,
