Works both ways...

While it is indeed my mistake that I did not claim that the photo is a prototype in my original post, I did state so in a subsequent reply. You originally stated "which are obviously pictures of the definitive" and I did say that the photos were of a prototype. Subsequently you replied, "No... Here is a picture of the Proto." where you proceeded to show us a photo of a prototype which you saw at SIHH.

Now, at this point, with the fact that you are the JLC mod, I would expect you to obviously know more than me on this, especially since at the point which I shot the watch, I would not know - nor was there anyone from JLC - to tell me which generation of prototype this was (I was not privy to this information anyway as I did not have a direct line to JLC HQ).

As you had already stated that the watch I shot is not a proto, therefore, I would assume that the Au750 on the caseback is really indicative of white gold case - that is why I mentioned that I was confused.

Thanks moc; yes I did post the photos in good faith. I did not realize that I needed to clarify further by calling up JLC HQ to clarify further what was communicated to me earlier.

First of all, thanks for your pictures. Which are obviously pictures of the definitive

Watches. Which raises a question... When I wrote the post about the Spherotourbillon, I was told that the cylindrical spiral on the platinum version will be heated blue... Which dioesn't seem to be the case. Too bad. Then, the wording on the dial is so so...

Perhaps it's because the watch I shot...

Is a prototype?

No... Here is a picture of the Proto.

The Spherotourbillon, like I saw it in Geneva, at the SIHH: Compared to the Tourbillon à Recession... No, you saw the definitive watch.... Best, Nicolas...

And limited to 75 pieces, too?

 By: amanico : April 20th, 2012-01:05
That version was not announced at the SIHH... Well, I am not sure it is a good thing. Unmlimited in RG, ok... 75 pieces in platinum, why not? But what about those who ordered the Pt in Geneva, and who now discover the White Gold? Hmmmm... Best, and thanks...

Sorry you were faster..mmmmm

sometimes I don t understand JLC,on such an important watch, they can t even reveal the production:its only 2 months old, there is nothing so different to announce a special edition, plus as you said some customers might feel deceived.....shaking my head. No...

+++ 1. I don't see that as a great sign of fairness... Or maturity, to say all.

 By: amanico : April 20th, 2012-01:15
It is discutable to play with LEs when it comes to more affordable watches, but when we are speaking of this kind of watches, this is not understandable. At least according to my own values. If all this is true, which has to be officially confirmed. Total...

Am I missing something? Nico could you check?WG? Mo

Ok I'm confused too...

 By: K T : April 20th, 2012-01:13
I just called the local office and they said it's platinum. I thought the AU750 would indicate WG. Apologies for the mistake. This message has been edited by K T on 2012-04-20 01:14:34

That's why I am confused...

 By: K T : April 20th, 2012-01:18
As you also can see, the caseback states AU750... and yet the local office tells me it's Platinum... Huh?!?!!?!?!?

you were faster than my question..

 By: moc : April 20th, 2012-01:18
Not a sign of maturity from JLC,the watch is only 2 months old and they don t even announce the definite production, shaking my head. I don t get it,its too similar to Pt,or not different enough, but I am a bit disappointed that such a watch is not treated ...

Thank you for the report..

 By: moc : April 20th, 2012-01:23
Great creations from JLC but....this WG Duometre really disappointed me...bah! Love the MR though Mo

I'm still trying to find out...

 By: K T : April 20th, 2012-01:25
why the local office says it's Platinum and yet the caseback has Au750 on it.

OK, PLEASE READ...

The pictures of the Spherotourbillon posted by KT are related to an early prototype. The definitive name is Spherotourbillon. AND there is no WG version. The definitive watches are in RG or in PT but not in WG, definitely. KT, I would really appreciate if...

Good to know....

 By: moc : April 20th, 2012-02:53
I was too disappointed,I couldn t make a reason for it. This is the danger of the net Nico, hopefully its all rectified. To be fair though,I really believe KT has nothing to do with it as he might have posted in good faith or based on what he was told. The...

True, too, but this is our responsability to check what we post, too.

Because mistakes turn into absolute truth too often. X says smething wrong, Y repeats it, so Z thinks and claims is is true. We really should be more prudent, and state when we don't know that we don't know, simply. Best, Nicolas

Agree too....

just that I am having a crusade against unqualified staff,,,,,it happened too often lately.... Mo

I shot the protos in December, KT. With a different dial than the one you shot.

 By: amanico : April 20th, 2012-16:19
But yes, I agree that the JLC Staff should have warned you that it was a demonstrative piece...Which was never shown to me. Best, Nicolas.

The definitive name is........
