The New Nylon Cordura Strap

 By: christoffer : August 12th, 2009-14:14
HI, I just saw, and may be it is not new, a Nylon Cordura strap on www.jaeger-lecoultre.com . I like the strap a lot and I am sure it is a god summer strap. Will that fit the Polaris and has someone a photo of it on a watch, or possibly even on a polaris ...

Good question

I'd also like to know if it would also work on the EWC. It does look like a good strap, and it is my understanding that all of the Navy Seal divers are delivered with this strap. respo

I've seen it on the EWC

it looks great. I especially like the COMPRESSOR text on the strap. "Casey", the EWC/nylon strap owner has posted pics of this combo here before. click here

Is this the same strap as the ones on the Navy Seals?

Thanks PeaceFrog. I thought I had seen these pics before. I appreciate your reminding me. I am not sure Casey's strap is the same as the Navy Seals cordura strap, but no matter, I like them both. Best, respo

BUT: Be sure that the distance between lugs is 22 mm, and if it is not the case, ask JLC if they can make one for you in 22 mm. Then, this strap is beautiful, but it looks quite modern. Would it work with the classic look of the Polaris? Best, Nicolas

The best is to bring your Pola 68 with you to a JLC AD

And to check that the combo works... You'll see. Keep us updated, please! Best, Nicolas

I think this strap is very modern

and it possibly will not go well with the polaris. But the quality and the comfort of this strap is something one has to experience in real. If I was the lucky owner of a tribute to polaris my wish would be a thick mesh strap (like the omega mesk).

EWC and Cordura strap

As long as the strap is 22mm at the lugs it should work. I use the straight pins from the rubber strap when using my Cordura strap. I would NOT use the pins that come with the JLC Dive watches, as they are spring bars. I too like the look of the new strap...

Fits nicely IMHO. Wear it in great health. [nt]

So, this Combo is great on the EWC, but I'm not so sure on the POlaris, whic has a more classic look... Best, Nicolas
