There is hope for mankind after all
I am rather new to watch collecting, and posting on forums. I look at watches such as are shown in the pictures, as well as my much less sophisticated Master Moon and feel that the human race can do beautiful things when it wants to. I am amazed at the beauty and cleverness of a well constructed complicated movement. My friends think there is something wrong with me, and tell me to go out and spend twenty dollars on a cheap quartz watch. When I tell them that their watches have no soul, they have know idea what i'm talking about. Thanks for posting the great pictures and thanks to JLC for bringing more beauty into the world.
That's cruel, Andrew...

To have a look on your pictures makes me feel sad to not have been able to come and join the Party. It is always a pleasure to see Marie who I met at the SIHH recently, Simon, and some of the Collectors I see in your pictures ( the " Lord " with the Gyro ...
Welcome ...

"My friends think there is something wrong with me ..." ... and they are probably correct. But you have come to the right place for support and counselling! Anyone who thinks that a watch has a soul is welcome here. Look forward to seeing your Master Moon...
Welcome here!

Don't be afra&id, we are all nuts when it comes to watches... You got it perfectly, there is something magic, with watches, difficult to put in words, something in relation with Art, Poetry, Micromecanics, Alchimy... You see? We are all nuts! Best, Nicola...
Nice event.
