Now that you’ve highlighted these points I can recognize them.

I’ve got the same problem looking at paintings in musea. I can stare at them for hours and really really like a particular painting.
When asked why, I usually have no idea really.

If then later on a curator or expert points out certain lines that create perspective or how composition tells a story, I then recognize it and admire it even more.

I can see how it’s deviating towards the grey area with independents. Yet if I only look half a second like at first glance, JLC is first thing that jumps to mind

Reason I’m asking such questions is because I’ve noticed that over time I slowly started looking with different eyes to a watch. And I love that

Jaeger Lecoultre Master Compressor Extreme Lab II " Red ".

The moment is very appropriate for us to dream, as there is not much more things to do. Among my dreams, a Jaeger Lecoultre, another one should I say, this Master Compressor Extreme Lab II. I tried the Blue for a while, and loved it, but I wouldn't mind f...

Very unusual

Thanks. I hadn't seen this variation before.

I hope I get to see one in real life.

Thank you for this, Nico.

That's dangerous!

But I'll still try to hunt for one locally. Looks very interesting, more so than the blue.

I have a fairly large wrist

almost 19 cm and large forearms but that is still welcome! I'll look forward to hunting this down. Thank you, friend.

Perfect!

Nice photos as usual, Nicolas.

This one is cool. EL1 is off the charts, but, alas, too few to ever realistically land one. Thanks for sharing. M4

Honest question

 By: Jurry : April 2nd, 2020-07:11
I had never seen this watch. But it took only a glance and I knew it was JLC. The JLC DNA is all over it. But I’m very curious to learn what it is that makes it closest thing to an independent and perhaps more interesting, which elements make it one of yo...

Thanks

Good point Nicolas, about the feeling of an Independant!

An authentic high tech calibre with 569 parts, which unites an impressive set of innovative functions and solutions. Ten years after, I wish I knew if JLC has any plans for an EL3. Best Yannis

You know how much I love the EL2 Nico. Even though I have the blue version, I have contemplated about adding the red version on many occasions as well. This is truly a sickness 😂🤣🤷‍♂️

One of my favorite watches from ANY manufacturer and truly one of the best values in terms of functionality and design. If this were a RM or Independent, it would sell for a minimum of 3 or 4 times what it does 🤦‍♂️ I am actually happy that not many peopl...

Thanks for the pics! The red EL2 is a forever watch.

And totally agree, I think JLC is the closest of the big brands in thinking to some of the independents. The skeletonized complications like the EL2, minute repeaters and perpetuals along with the gyro/sphero tourbillons in particular feel very independen...
