Spotted in Geneva: Jaeger-Lecoultre Geophysic True Seconds Blue. A Review.

 By: amanico : February 23rd, 2020-10:01
The Geophysic True Seconds was unveiled in September 2015, while the Blue dialed one came two years after, in December 2017. I could only see the True Seconds Blue on pictures, till I met a friend at the SIHH in 2019, who was wearing it. I always wondered...

I was really tempted by this piece, almost bought it online when I saw it...

I could also do without the date. The normal, and current, model on the bracelet is appealing to me too for some reason. How about this? JLC releases a new version with: 1) not only a deadbeat seconds for the main second counter; but 2) a subsidiary secon...

Emotionally - I think it shows two technicalities of a mechanical movement, and that they 2 (emphasis added) can be in harmony.

I like the interplay of Ironies of the two types of seconds with a splash of modern day pizzazz.

Or, going on a crazy tangent...

Release a Duometre: 1) one movement for deadbeat chronograph; 2) the other movement for normal timekeeping with a sweep seconds hand.

Yes!!!!

What you think??? 1) that would stop those crying about a mechanical watch "acting" like a quartz; and 2) put JLC front and center again for being technical. I may have given up on JLC's thin movements, Richemont may have sacrificed JLC there for Piaget. ...

Good point counsel. [nt]

I was close to find one but I do have way more watches than wrists. This one is very top

True! Thanks, Tyo. [nt]

An amazing case indeed!

...

I like the technical aspects of this watch, but

I think the date window throws the dial off balance and yes, the cross hairs can be confusing when checking the time with a quick glance. Neither would stop me from wearing one though.

count me in, haha! [nt]
