Service for an older Atmos clock? ...

I have a JLC Atmos clock from the 1970s era. I don't have the serial number in front of me. The last time I had it out and running and seemed to run reasonably well. I don't think anything is broken, but I'm sure it could use a professional cleaning and adjustment.

What seems like a reasonable price to pay for a service/cleaning?

At least one source referred me to the Richemont service center in Texas. Has anyone here had any particularly good or bad experiences with them

Thanks very much in advance,
Chris

If it is only a cleaning, a good watchmaker can do it for nothing or almost.

If it is more than that, then you should ask your JLC AD to give you an idea of the price they will charge you. I have strictly no idea on what it can cost you. What I know is that the Manufacture has a whle Dept dedicated to the Atmos, and they are able ...

Thanks, Nicolas

They certainly appear very delicate and if you see my post in Ruckdee's JLC clock post below you'll see the packaging mine came in which is extensive and I had to put my rear car seats down to fit it in the car..!! I still have all the boxes. I believe if...

The clock is maybe 35 years old. The packaging is loooong gone. I'll keep you posted. Will try to get it running this weekend. Thanks.

It took mine a while to settle.....

and I mean a few weeks after getting it going, it then ran ~1min slow per month. So after the first year of monitoring it through the winter and summer to allow for any variations, I then tweaked it a tiny amount and it is now running perfectly and I only...

...independent clockmakers in the US who are JLC trained in Atmos repair. A Google search should find them. The only problem would be if you need parts. I think that JLC has terminated the parts accounts of most independents. Good luck with repairs, gator...
