product line numbers

the numbers engraved on the caseback are production line  numbers which are used at the factory when they are assembled for your watch

270=reverso grande taille case
8=stainless steel material
81=stainless steel matching bracelet-rice type
my computer blocked your photos so could not identify in detail
this is an indication as the numbers and there meanings for assembly are not published by jlc

I thought i goes 270=Reverso, 8=stainless steel, 81=movement (which should be 62 in this case). And I'm especially wondering because all of the other Reversos (this model) have the other number (270.8.62) engraved. You can see the photos here: www.dro...

this one should have a rice style stainless steel bracelet as original- the ostrich strap is not original fit to this model

try a 3858520 if you want a newer model not grand taille-but with the free sprung calibre 822/2

Thanks for the tip, but the larges and grandes are too big for my taste

Already have a Classique in white gold and I am looking for something only a bit larger and more for every day use. Also I prefer the printed dials and the new ones all only have guiloche dials - at least the medium ones.

movements not given in production only m or q- for this older model

if this had a ostrich/leather strap as original it would be 84 or 85 with a buckle or a folding clasp and not a 81 remember factory numbers that are used in assembly are slightly different to the ones in the brochure/booklet so the stamped number on the b...

Still wondering why some (actually many) have 270.8.62 engraved on the back?

this model is an old one from the 1990's so there may of been a changing of the way they use the production numbers the reverso could never be faked as the cost of making the case would not make it worthwhile so would all be jlc numbering is just a stran...

Thanks for the tip about the 822/2 movement

but I think there are only ones with guiloche dials or the large/grande ones which I find too big (though I haven't tried them in person). About the one with the 81 number: I actually think it is at least from 2004 as I read that the 1000 hours engraving ...

That's it.
