Jaeger Lecoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin. Which one is your favorite?

 By: amanico : September 18th, 2015-02:30
It seems that a page is about to be turned about Grande Reverso Ultra Thins and manual movements. So, maybe it is time to remind what we had, and to wonder which one is your favorite. The Blacks... TT Reverso 1931 TT Reverso 1931 US: The Ultra Thin Steel ...

And one for the Red. ;) [nt]

Another for..

 By: fernando : September 18th, 2015-03:55
Red because it’s the colour of passionate love, seduction, violence, danger, anger, and adventure. So it will never be boring on your wrist! :) But to be fair, the others like the blue and the green aren't too shabby either. ;) cheers fernando ...

and the 1948 are lovely. I have the TT 1931 black which is perhaps the most versatile and of course it is a tribute to the original. But I am now saving for the chocolate which I find sublime and discreet for a gold watch. Do we have any idea how much lon...

Still available, the Chocolate. For how long, nobody knows. I would guess...

 By: amanico : September 18th, 2015-05:21
Till the end of this year. Then basta, except if you fall on a stock one. But production is about to end. Best, Nicolas

Thank you.

 By: Tiggermelad : September 18th, 2015-22:58
I have some thinking to do! I suppose it begs the question as to why this line is being discontinued. For me they represent the most elegant iteration of the Reverso in the present catalogue, so it would surprise me if they are not selling well enough. Or...

There are two things to keep in mind...

 By: amanico : September 18th, 2015-23:18
1/ They want to do more automatic movements, for the Reverso line. Like you, I regret that. 2/ They will celebrate, next year, the 85th anniversary of this icon. No doubt that there will be some exciting offers. But point 1 makes me sad.... Best, Nicolas

That's a pity. [nt]

No message body

That's a pity.

 By: Tiggermelad : September 19th, 2015-01:16
As for the 85th anniversary model we will just have to wait and see. But I have to say that I would have no interest in an automatic Reverso - it's just not right!

The black for me [nt]

I often take the role of an institutionalized devil's advocate at work

 By: KMII : September 18th, 2015-06:10
So well acquainted with the role

My trio is the same as your conclusion :)

 By: jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) : September 18th, 2015-05:52
TT 1948 for pure elegance, Rouge for hotness and Blue for coolness! Cheers Robin ...

Errrr, while I totally agree with your conclusion ( and situation )...

 By: amanico : September 18th, 2015-06:00
You have to choose ONE. Best, Nicolas

It's so difficult !! But I think I know

 By: jrwong23 (aka watchthebin) : September 18th, 2015-06:02
If I have to choose only 1... It will be the TT 1948 That stamped dial is to die for!! ...

1948 for its pure class! [nt]

One with a sub seconds

 By: jml_watches : September 18th, 2015-06:52
Hi I think it's have to be one of the ones with a sub seconds on the dial - I always think they add tome think to the 'face' of a Reverso and in the case of the Ultra thin they're all rectangular. Though I might be able to make an exception for the Duo - ...

Love the 1948

The US edition is not represented?

 By: rnaden : September 18th, 2015-09:18
I like that one...with the pointed hands...

Didn't see it but...this is my vote....

 By: rnaden : September 18th, 2015-17:21
Picture taken off Quill & Pad.... but if I had to pick one off the list you put, my friend, it would be the Red Rogue. Warm and different! ...

Well, my decision some years ago.. I'm still very happy with the TT1931 with a CF chocolate strap..

 By: hs111 : September 18th, 2015-09:34
Thus, the TT 1948 stamped dial with small subsec. for me, please ! That one is on my list.. Sighhh.. And, BTW: of course, there are still my trusted (1982) black Duo Face & a lovely Double Calendar. Thus, yes.. Reverso is an iconic epitome ! Cheers & Best...

Hello Nicolas! Your awesome pictures make difficult the answer. Well... you know...

 By: Subexplorer : September 18th, 2015-13:00
... I choose the red dial version, and I do not regret that! This is a watch that always makes me smile when I wear it. I absolutely love it. But the blue dial and the chocolate dial versions are very charming too! I guess that after the red, I would go f...

Well, I was going to chose the black first one

By: Mark in Paris : September 18th, 2015-15:06
but thought that picking such usual color is so boring when we've also been provided with much more unusual colors. I think the green one works very well, even if the Chocolate dial suits the rose gold very much. Clearly the type of watches we need to thi...

So, one for the Green? [nt]

 By: amanico : September 18th, 2015-22:56

I didn't want to chose!

By: Mark in Paris : September 19th, 2015-03:16
Well, if I had to.... the rose gold chocolate. Because of its elegance and the fact I would prefer it on my wrist with my usual outfits

Another + for TT 1948

 By: MTR : September 18th, 2015-20:29
pure, powerful, timeless All the best, Thomas

Yes, very subtle one. you need to pay some serious attention to catch the whole...

Beauty of this watch, its dial, mainly. A jewel. Best, Nicolas

Ah, such cruel dilemmas to choose only one

 By: NT931 : September 19th, 2015-03:33
But i would pick the TTR1931, very specifically the 1931 on the Fagliano strap. The colour is immaterial, the key is the yummy strap! ...

RED !

 By: dms : September 19th, 2015-05:41
... without hesitation! The 1948 and its dial is great and very classic, but the Red speaks to me. I've found the comment below on a french site about watches (sorry: it's in french), and can't stop thinking that this watch is for me Durant les Années Fol...

I love them all

 By: Tyo : September 19th, 2015-11:45
but I really have the tough task to choose one, I'd go for the Rose gold chocolate dial.

Thanks, Amico. [nt]

Black dial...with something special on the back

 By: cfn : September 21st, 2015-14:05
For me it is the black dial version. I have been lucky enough to see all the others in the metal, including the British racing green version and the black one still wins. But the back of my black version holds something to remind me of New York... Brillia...

Alas, Manual Reversos are out.

 By: amanico : September 21st, 2015-14:26
The question is to know if manual movements are out for all Reversos, or only the " basic " ones... So, to top them will be hard. Which is somewhat good news for the owners of these pieces. For the others... Less good. Nice, very nice one. I love your per...

+1 for the "Rouge"

 By: maxbrux : September 23rd, 2015-04:39
which has been growing on me since I first saw it ... and, who knows if I'm lucky perhaps one day ...

Thanks! [nt]

I remember we had this discussion Nicolas

 By: i_am_Sam : September 27th, 2015-03:02
I think the coloured ones would be nice to have , especially the red and the green.. The rose gold chocolate also looking really good But for some reason if I were to choose one I think my conservativeness would still lead me to pick the TT 1948, the text...

I totally understand your point of view.

 By: amanico : September 27th, 2015-03:35
The TTR 1948 is all in elegance, subtle, refinement. The Red is pure coolness. With a dandiesque touch. Best, Nicolas
