SIHH 2012: Jaeger-LeCoultre - The new models.

 By: amanico : January 16th, 2012-01:08
I decided this year to show you the new releases we'll have the pleasure to see in Geneva, at the SIHH. Here, you will only see the official pictures, and, of course, we'll see all those new watches, one by done, in a more detailled and dedicated article....

Thanks Nicholas, I am intrigued by the Reverso Triple

 By: kpk : January 16th, 2012-01:17
Calendar. Does this have a transparent case back? Also, will a version be offered in SS? This model immediately tugs for my attention. The Reverson Skeleton also looks interesting. I did 'guess' the Duometre Tourbillon in a post a few weeks ago.

Love the Duometre à Spherotourbillon! B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L

My pleasure, Mo. We will discuss all that in the dedicated posts:

We all have our own taste, and no necessity to get another watch, but there are some positive points, here, which are important signs, too. I strongly believe that JLC did another great SIHH. Best, Nicolas

It may be another "never say never" ...

Let's see, in special the DSVC, "in metal". I never forget my initial hate of some other watches that changed to true love. Cheers and, again, many thanks for your expedition to SIHH. Nilo

Better than my expectation :)

Already knowing about the Reverso Rogue, the two stand out pieces for me are definitely the Master Control in SS and the Duometre a Spherotourbillon. JLC really knocked it out of the park this year!

Thanks for your feedback, gsb, and welcome here!

Thank You Nico

Master Control and RDM

 By: Mostel : January 16th, 2012-18:06
are possibly perfection embodied--the RDM is just bigger, but it looks very right, love it in RG! The MC time and date is the most perfect and inarguable watch I have seen in years and years... probably the most perfect time/date watch they could possibly...

I agree

 By: willski : January 17th, 2012-01:30
The MC is a winner. Price, design, wearability make it a perfect intro piece into higher-end pieces.

Time of Maturity... That is exactly what I felt when viewing the 2012 collection.

Definitely needs to be tried out on the wrist before passing judgement. Same with the Deep Sea chrono (having said that, it will obviously sell). The triple date Reverso is a sure winner aesthetically although the 976-sized case isn't friendly to my wrist...

The Master RdM is a nice size bump, brings that model back from the brink! I really like the skeletonized reverso, reminds me of the Reverso Art Deco, though I'd always prefer skeletonizing without engraving (see the recent Piaget), but JLC will never do ...

My 2 favourite watches - master control and deep sea chrono.

 By: ling5hk : January 18th, 2012-03:31
Nicolas, thanks for bringing many beautiful watches to us. To me, the master control is so balance and clean. It is timeless. I like the stainless steel version because the blue second hand blends well with the dial colour. The deep sea chronograph is so ...

Perfection is not on this world, Ling...

 By: amanico : January 18th, 2012-13:48
And JLC still has to improve their strap, definitely. But at least there are already some nice improvements on the cases, sizes, volumes, well, in a word, watches. Even if a strap is a true part of the watch. Best, Nicolas.

Nicolas, I get frustrated when the watch is near perfect except the strap.

I totally subscribe to your opinion, Ling.

RDM revamp design was phoned in?

By: Velociphile - No longer in the building : January 21st, 2012-08:57
All IMHO of course For me, the Jaeger LeCoultre Réserve de Marche stands as one of the most beautifully balanced watch designs in history. It starts with the chamaeleonic, ‘soleil’ effect finish of the dial. This always creates involuntary glances from ca...

 By: marcelo : January 29th, 2012-06:04

Same thickness? Isn't it supposed to be UT? I made a Google search and found out the "regular" RDM is 9.3 mm thick, while the "UT" version would be 9.85 (I got the same info from two different sources).
