I have never been to this boutique in the Miami Design district, but despite the Covid-19 situation, the Miami design district in the past few years has seen many high-end watch boutiques open there, and reportedly is a lovely high traffic luxury watch destination. The fact that JLC has chosen to not support this boutique in these admittedly obviously trying times is indeed sad. I fear that this is more troubling data that JLC is in the midst of a longer term identity crisis vis-a-vis its recent lethargy with regard to updated designs and movements in the journeyman watch sector, lack of commitment to the US market, and lackadaisical approach to marketing, again at least from my USA perspective. JLC surely recognizes that the Covid-19 situation will subside, even if it takes say 2 more years for a vaccine to not just be approved and available, but for a necessary significant percentage of the world population to receive it and become reasonably protected...
