I wote for the beige distressed strap without stiching! Looks very good. I tried with a grey Nato strap, looks ok but I think the watch is to thik for a NATO strap. AFter summer holiday ois over I hope to post some pictures.

Polaris straps, Chapter II
By: amanico : June 26th, 2009-08:58
You certainly remember that some months ago, I made a post about Polaris Straps. It was the beginning of the quest of the " Holy Strap "... I tried some color combinations, and here was the result: It was the first step, as I said, and I made some observa...

Polaris 68 with a beige distressed strap: Polaris 68 with a light khaki borwn distressed strap: Polaris 65 with a Burgundy strap: Polaris 65 with a Dark Brown almost black Strap: And, of course the black one, which goes very well on both of these Polaris!...
Nice!

I like the rough, thick strap with the '65 a lot -- it's a nice contrast and refreshing. The colors on the '68 allow for some interesting choices in colors as you have shown. That dark brown/almost black is sweet! respo
the 2 wrist shots seem perfect to me. you have a good eye for clour

we seem to have similar tastes in strap colour and style, just not in price and quality. both the stitched and non stitched pale straps suit the one with pale lume, the other one will take a large range of straps according to occasion. Graham
And the good thing is

That All the Super Compressor Watches have the same distance between the lugs ( 22 mm ). so I can also put these straps on the Longines or on the U.G Polerouter Sub... The interesting thing with these 2 Polas is that this is a watch which allows to play w...
I like the burgundy for the '65 and khaki brown for the '68
By: dxboon : June 26th, 2009-20:58
The '65 looks great with almost any color strap really, but the burgundy adds a dash of whimsy and color that I like. It has a lively effect on the dressier-looking '65. While the pale beige is nice on the '68 I prefer the darker khaki because the caramel...
Perfectly observed, Daos.

The Pola 65 is more difficult to associate with straps, as the dial is very classic and elegant, and the strange combinatinos are to avoid. With the 68, things are easier, indeed. BUT, the most important, when you come to choose a strap, is to well know a...
Agreed, Dean

I need som time to see how it will age, but yes, I also had this point in mind when choosing it. Thanks for your input! Nicolas

Witrh the croc and tghe sting ray, you dress it up, while, with the Tropic, you give ti a tool watch look. Interesting and complementary, indeed! Good hunt for the SS Bracelet! Best, Nicolas

The problem with the nato is that you double the thickness under the case back, which makes it even bigger. But what about a Nato without this double thickness??? It may be a nice solution. Stil working on it, but I'm very happy with my latest selection. ...

Wow, is it just me or does this watch look like it's made for the tropic strap? Maybe the comfort level is so-so, but esthetically speaking this strap brings out the true character of this watch - and works very vell as a reminder of its roots in time and...

With a Tropic, and with a SS Bracelet. This is not just you! Yes, it works very nicely on the the Polaris. Best, and thanks for your comments. Nicolas
No, Respo, it doesn't

To be precise it comes with a Leather strap which receives a tropic look, but this is not a tropic. BUT, it is not that difficult to get a good imitation of an original tropic strap. And not expensive at all! Best, Nicolas

Aaah, the sand strap on the first pic was a revelation

But the quality is not the top top top... Ok, but not the top. Compared to the non stitching straps. Thanks for your opinion, Patrick! Best, and see you soon with this very nice 322! Nicolas
What about a metal bracelet?
By: zemar : June 27th, 2009-08:49
Thanks for the great post Nicolas. A bunch of the L.A.-based Polaristi have been dying for a metal bracelet for the '65 & '68 that match the spirit of the original. Any suggestions?
Zemar, I may have found a solution

Given the fact that the Polaris and the Amvox I both have the same case, hence the same dimension to the lugs, Knowing that the SS Amvox I also came / comes with a Bracelet, You should try the Amvox I bracelet on the Polaris... Aaah, by the way, I also no...
