Master series question....

I commented a while ago that I thought that the current Master Control was one of the best- looking watches in the Master series. It seems that I am not alone in that view.

I think the salient points of the makeover to the MC and the Master Calendar are the use of nicely- proportioned dauphine hands instead of the alpha hands, tidying up the dial ( for example getting rid of the reserve indicator on the M Calendar) and reducing the size of the case to 39mm.

To my eyes,  other models such as the Geograhic, Chrono, Hometime and Memovox would all benefit from a similar makeover

I am not presently looking to buy ( I just bought a AP Jumbo so Mrs Archy has confiscated my credit card! ) but I would not consider the current models of those watches which seem to have been a bit of a mistake by JLC.

( Actually, what I would really like to see is an updated Master 8-day (I'm a sucker for an 8-day movement and a big date!).  Get rid of the silly day/night indicator and the alpha hands, reduce the case to 39mm - with some nice lugs! - and tone down the details, and I'll be asking Mrs A for my card back! )

Anyway, my question is :  does anyone know if  JLC is planning to give a makeover to other Master models ?

The Master Memovox was revisited in 2010. The Master PC 8 Days came a bit later. The Master Calendar as well. The reworked the case and the bezel. No doubt that JLC is focusing a lot on their cases, lately. Best, Nicolas

..but they still have the alpha hands and big cases which have been dropped with such good results in the MC. The 8 day I was talking about is a the Master 8- days which seems to have been discontinued, not the Perpetual Calendar. Is there any chance that...

A long time ago. The Watch appeared in the 2003 / 2004 catalog and had a short life. I doubtr they will bring it back to the catalog like this. I mean, maybe they will associate it to another complication? Who knows? But I have my doubts. Best, Nicolas
