I know you adore that piece, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a speedy service at JLC.
I encountered the same problem with my Zenith El Primero a couple of years ago. Turned out to be a broken main spring... these things do happen, even with modern materials and quality control.
Getting it back in full glory is something to look forward to!

A watch that sets itself on fire needs a service! Joke aside hope it won't take too long for you to get it back on your wrist.

Sebastian said he had serviced it (remember that 'revisee') at some point, but what was done who knows, perhaps he merely had the strap changed to a new one....
They called me today....
and said they'll do a full service. It's gonna be over $800, but I'm totally confident well worth it.
