Consumers or buyers need to stop supporting the gray dealers by not buying from them. Simple but not likely to happen. The other is to stop people from buying from AD's and reselling to gray. Also not likely to happen.

Either eat the shit the market is offering or move on because you suck at the game!

First, it is for me an interesting situation. Watches does matter for many parties. Everybody jumps on it, honest, not honest, enthusiasts, investors. Sure, i eat the dust. Bad timing, not alert enough. But i can laugh about my stupidness. I have my desir...

This is of course only my humble opinion but I nearly choked on my breakfast this morning whilst surfing a well known reseller owned by a major watch brands owner as they had the now infamous "Tiffany" Dial Oyster and at mere 6 times retail what a bargain... 

In the 90ies I was for the first time in SGP and the ADs were presenting lots of steel daytonas under their counter at double price to interested customers. Take it or leave it but don't think too much about it, there are alternatives.

I think that the brands aren't going to slow it down anytime soon. Why? Because their job is to sell watches, it's simple as that. Thay don't care if passionate collectors cannot buy at retail as long as the demand is so high that they don't even need to ... 

After my first couple of Rolexes, I started branching out to other brands. There are too many options to justify crazy markups on the usual suspects.

Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to acquire most of my watches. I'm also not finished with collecting so I'll need to tap into the secondary market in the future as I don't play AD games. I've worked in and studied economics most of my life. And from ...

I don't enjoy the constant frenetic energy around new watches. It's too much. The marketing is too much. The salivating is too much. The prices are too much as well. It's much nicer to wait 2-3 years for the noise to die down, so you can be sure that the ... 

I do watch videos on YouTube but I would never accept to buy over retail price. The craze we see today of commoditising new watches is totally insane and corrupt… I shall not support this.
