I don't know

$15,600 is a pile of cash for a watch with a pretty basic alarm. You can pick up a GO Senator Diary used in steel for under ten grand, and that has both 24-hour and full-month setting modes to alert you any time of day up to 31 days in advance. As much as I've loved JLC over the years, the GO seems like a better option. You really need to *love* the look of the JLC over and above functionally superior options or be wedded to the impressive JLC warranty offer in order to make this call in the Memovox's favor.
Best,
Tim

And the fact that it sings makes it that much sweeter. This watch is greater than the sun of its parts. On another note, to be able to access a singing watch complication like this made by an iconic maison below 50k is huge value. Remember, jlc went to gr...

I had the opportunity too a month ago

but gave it a miss as I could hardly hear the alarm. The boutique manager did say that it had travelled around the world and was probably not working as well as it should have. I was not convinced. Lovely dial though.

That's a very good point! There are frequencies some individuals can hear or miss. Sham1, not that I meant you miss certain frequencies, do not get me wrong.

The very piece you saw might be faulty or just vibrated. I have found different model of Memovox sound differently. I would try it on and check if you can hear the alarm at an arm's length. If you cannot hear the alarm, the main function other than time t...

I think this particular watch was faulty

because the boutique staff could not hear it either. Unfortunately, a purchase would have been based on the the alarm function so the fact that it was not functioning properly for whatever reason did not instill much confidence on the reliability of this ...

I see your point Nico

but I am less forgiving when it comes to the sound being emitted from a watch. I once had a Lange 1 where the power reserve and date started malfunctioning within a month. I know from Lange's generally high standards that I was probably just unlucky. The ...

Looks great.

If you can justify the price tag for yourself (I could not) then go for it.

what can I say? I love mine, the dial is much more alive than the boutique edition one.

I've put an audio comparison in Nico's review thread, around the end of the messages list. ...

I can only agree. [nt]
