Who could imagine that 17 years could go by so fast, and the experience of fine horology "up front and personal" would remain so compelling. But I suppose 17 years is just a "drop in the bucket" in the timeline of a manufacture like JLC! Thank you Nicolas... 

... however let me tell you first, that the Manufacture was amazing and Nico did a phenomenal job. All in all, the community experience and interaction with THE PEOPLE, so you guys, was at least equally as great as the JLC tour. The latter one was already...

What an exceptional experience it was! The reception by JLC was amazing, and all the top experts presented us their know-how and shared their passion for the brand and its products. A big thank you to Nico for organising it with the JLC team, it was fault... 

It looks like you all had an amazing time. I hope Filip had the chance to chat with Francis Cretin about all things Amvox 2! What have they done to the Hotel des Horlogers! That used to a lovely, traditional Swiss hotel. May be it looked out of place next... 

That was in fact something surreal for me! During lunch we spoke about his design process in 2004, how dear to him this design is, and how the crown design was updated shortly after the concept watches were presented not only to mimic the fuel cap design ... 

But my watch came without any paperwork! Not that I give a damn, it was one of the best deals I could have ever made - it cost me less than the TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Caliber 36 did back in 2009........ I really hope Sebastien is super-happy with his Roy...

Look at my pictures, you see us standing around a table looking at a monitor. That was in the design department and the engineers were working with their CAD software around us. Next to me, there was someone working on a stunningly complex and beautiful R... 

too cruel to Patrick here xD.... He was simply sincerely drained from the whole thing... and the Macallan of course=P.... Good thing he didn't fall over given how many times his head fell forward!

La Grand Maison is truly enormous.... Matthieu opened things up with showing us the immaculately preserved pocket watches from the 1920s and 30s.... Totally exceptional pieces. The highlight of the visit for me besides the Grand Sonneries and Gyrotourbill...

Super amusing and endearing is that most JLC employees wear Reversos....=)) This highly skilled lady is working on movement finishing for ladies’ Reversos.... ........ The glass-partitioned watchmaker spaces where regular pieces and complications are put ...
