From what I see, everything is consistent with what the watch should be

These models are quite peculiar, being wartime manufactured, but not for an intended direct military use.
I have seen some visibly belonging to the German military (including one with an engraved caseback with a dedication from Herman Göring for good services in the Kampf im Osten).
Manufacturing quality is typical of that tera and intended use, therefore can be quite unsettling compared to regular production (eg brass case, sometimes lower-quality dials), but they are certainly artefacts worth collecting.
If this is your thing, go for it, this one is not bad

This is a JLC 479 Cal. Are the case and the movement supposed to have the same serial? Secondly, can anyone correctly decipher the code on the case? TIA ...

.. the ‘B’ usually means plated base metal rather than stainless steel.. you can usually find either of the e109/159 in a stainless steel configuration. al
