I recently also got the tan ostrich for my faithful GT and I like how it looks and wears once it starts tapering to the wrist. Nice one and no, it isn't too blue!

I usually don’t like closely matched dial & strap combos. “Too matchy-matchy!” as Joan Reviers would say. But in this case, the combo somehow enhances each component. I think it looks great! Now, do I ask the JLC boutique to comp me a blue ostrich strap w... 

But maybe ask what shades of blue they have. Eg dark navy blue that looks like black or something funky like the one I choose

Thanks to this post, I just swapped my strap with the brown strap from the Master Control Date. Surprisingly it gives a very casual vibe.
