You'll find that valuations/appraisals aren't allowed on most discussion forums, so I can't help you there. At the price you mentioned, I think you got an excellent bargain.
I can tell you that your watch dates from the approximately the early-1970s, not 1950s as the seller claimed. I believe your watch was part of the part of the "Vogue" model line. I have vintage JLC catalogs showing similar sterling silver (.925) models produced by JLC. Sterling Silver was a very uncommon case material for JLC in the 1970s (most JLC cases are steel or gold) and you don't see silver JLC cases often. I doubt that very many were produced.
