Calling all Reverso owners!

Hello! I have come to notice clamping marks on a few Reversos and was wondering how common it is? It’s present on the burgundy in the same exact spot but on opposite sides (6:30 and 12:10). Haven't seen that on my Blue tribute though. It is visible withou...

I returned my Duoface...

A number of imperfections and a movement that never functioned properly. 1000 hours of scrutiny...please!🙄

the 1000 hours refer to the movement performance.

But, the level of flaws im noticing on dials and cases are simply unacceptable.

Good to know!

 By: TheWindingStem : December 13th, 2020-08:21
so far my observation is pointing to the fact that this is overwhelmingly an issue with burgundy Reverso's sold in North America.

Very surprising indeed.

 By: TheWindingStem : December 13th, 2020-08:22
I am very disappointed and im hoping the company will track the flaws down to the individual uncharge and retrain them. Also, their QC department needs a new loupe lol

Strange!

you have connections to the brand cant we get an answer?

 By: TheWindingStem : December 13th, 2020-08:33
this is not an isolated incident and I know at least 4 watches with the same exact issue- all in North America.

I will forward.

Hand crafted

 By: Weems@8 : December 12th, 2020-23:12
Made by hand. My trust in JLC is not gone. Return to AD and get another one without case failure.

its a ledge that you can feel with your hand and is visible.

ruins the symmetry and beauty of the entire design.

give me a break...

 By: 2redbulls : December 14th, 2020-23:06
haha...come on. "ruins the symmetry and beauty of the ENTIRE DESIGN". You're really laying it on thick.

maybe take it easy on the red bulls?

 By: TheWindingStem : December 15th, 2020-03:35
it does ruin the entire design for me!

human flaws are beautiful and acceptable.

 By: TheWindingStem : December 13th, 2020-08:40
Major flaws resulted by laziness or incompetence is not acceptable and shouldn't be tolerated. Also, you don't need s loupe to see this.

the entire watch will be replaced.

 By: TheWindingStem : December 15th, 2020-03:32
the dial had an unusually high level of smudges.

Im really glad to hear this! At least they are doing the right thing for you.

 By: ChristianDK : December 15th, 2020-03:43
In the end its a really beautiful watch. Really worth having ( I considered one for myself)

Good news!

My case shows no such flaw but I have another issue.

 By: Uncle Chico : December 13th, 2020-03:57
One of the pins on the strap keeps falling out and now I'm afraid to wear it. Time for a trip to my AD. I suspect the spring bar is defective. ...

I had this issue before but it was caused by me not securing it properly.

 By: TheWindingStem : December 13th, 2020-08:41
its a bit tricky at first but in all cases have yours looked at just in case.

I suspect damaged tooling used to fab the part...

 By: John-E-Mac : December 13th, 2020-15:34
Both end pieces have identical defects. Probably made in the same batch. Fairly easy to remedy (re-machine or file smooth) before it left the factory. Since those end pieces bolt onto the main base plate, they are easily swapped out in the field. Should b...

it is indeed an easy solution.

 By: TheWindingStem : December 15th, 2020-03:32
the issue is how did it get past quality control?

It is a conflict of humans and machines, combined with company policy.

 By: John-E-Mac : December 15th, 2020-05:08
Humans are taught to trust the QC system, so if it gets to them later in the process, then it must be "good". By the time it gets to the polisher, they assume all the prior checks have deemed the part as "pass". Same for the assembler. Vision systems have...

Pfff! Poor QC out CNC machined production...

 By: PoyFR : December 14th, 2020-03:04
Poor QC out CNC machined production. What was once seen and felt by watchmakers is sometimes left to unsupervised or badly QCed CNC machined production. I find this totally inacceptable!

I don't mind CNC.

 By: TheWindingStem : December 15th, 2020-03:31
its quality control that needs to get their act together!

Agreed...

This is the Tribute Moon case.

but I wouldn't be surprised if it is actually rough.

This is correct!

 By: Ambos : December 27th, 2020-06:57
This is part of the finish. The two ‘front’ sides always have these straight brush finish. This is absolutely correct. Enjoy your Reverso!

Mine is perfectly fine

Hope you get your issue sorted out soon!
