Thanks for the kind words Andrew,
Yes two 60eme were sold at auction recently. The estimates were very low in both cases, but were wrong - with both going for similar prices. I thought both were slightly low - but given there were two examples I guess that probably is the price.
The auction houses often under estimate the values of these 90s Reversos. Its always interesting to watch the bidding. I think the in room bidders are mostly not JLC experts - so the bidding in the rooms stops very early I expect based on the auction house estimates - and then the JLC collectors online take over!
I didn't notice the tourbillion, will check it out...

Afraid I'm a terrible photographer, but having taken delivery of a new addition I wanted to share some pictures The 60eme is much more attractive in the flesh than in pictures. The contrast of the different dial guilloche is very interesting - although ha...

I hope you will see them soon...
What can I say? Three fantastic Reversos.
By: amanico : December 14th, 2014-10:31
Ok, it is easy to admire a 60eme and a 70eme. Both being very important milestones in JLC and Reverso life. But the Geographique is a Reverso I love a lot. For its complication, for its design, and for its spirit. A great and Under estimated Watch, in the...
Thanks Nico...

When disaster struck a few years ago - the Geographique was one of the first watches I replaced.I still think it is one of the best executions of the complication, partly because it's there when you need it - but doesn't dominate. Most world-timers announ...
100% agreed!

Greg, There's something about those Reversos from about a decade ago - they have a romance, a spirit, which is absolutely fantastic. If I'm honest, the 70eme isn't one for me. There's something about the dial composition which doesn't quite capture me; it...
Thanks for your thoughts E.

I think the 70eme is an extreme watch. I love it - but it is quite thick and very heavy (mine weighs 168g). Why do I love it? The balance of the dial is something I love - particularly in the platinum version where the blues, greys and silvers come togeth...
Greg, thank you!

168g - just...wow...bit of a workout! Thank you for your comments, as you actually have experience of wearing them (I'm working off photos, so am pretty uninformed, really; take my comments with a small heap of fleur de sel de Guerande). As for the Sun/Mo...

According to my 2000 catalog the Sun/Moon was available in white gold with the black dial or pink gold with the white dial. Both are beautiful. I think Nico is exacly right it in saying that in that era the Reversos were the princes of the JLC range, ther...

A great triumvirate of Reversos!

Hi All thee look great. Though for me the 60eme stands out - in a GT case and that dial with all its eccentricities is just fab. I've been luck enough to see one in the flesh, it and the repetition from the same series are my favourite watches. Cheers JML...
