Saturday picture: The incredible artistic mess of the Jaeger Lecoultre Master Compressor Extreme Lab 2.

The Extreme Lab 2 is a watch I never owned, but which I had the pleasure to test for some weeks in 2015. A watch which is in my short list, for what it is: Technical, original, very modern, yet, and incredibly attractive. Its dial is super busy, a real me...

A very cool dial indeed

That's it!

 By: amanico : January 16th, 2021-15:08

Ah the EL2. This is perhaps my favorite watch from JLC along with the Duometre Chronograph but if I were forced to choose ONLY one JLC, it would probably be the EL2 due to its function and practically...

Just a beast of a watch that wears surprisingly well and comfortably even on my 16.5cm (6.5 inch) wrist. The dial just shows the mechanical complexity but I can honestly say, on the wrist it all makes sense and is very intuitive. It still is my ONE Armage...

In total agreement.

 By: amanico : January 17th, 2021-00:02

Agreed 👍

 By: holdemchamp1225 : January 17th, 2021-08:41

The EL2 can look and seem overly complicated until you look at comps like the Porsche Design Indicator Chrono with digital Chrono minutes...

 By: Fastwong : January 17th, 2021-12:30
That movement is around 800 parts to the JLC's under 600 and ~50% thicker than that of the EL2 and without the additional complications of a 24 hour indicator, gmt hand, push button function selector, radial power reserve, or any claims about durability. ...

+1 well said 😉

Too bad.

 By: amanico : January 17th, 2021-00:02

I would like to thank Nicolas for your review of this amazing watch in Watchprozine. I have re-read your review countless times and it contributed significantly to my decision to buy it on chrono24. I have never bought a watch without trying it on my wris...

Love the skeletonized dial. Messy yet artistic - a real treat to the eyes.

Simply amazing
