5-1

Not to be contrarian for the sake of it, but having looked at both closely, I think I prefer the blue dial.  I would, of course, be extremely happy to have either one of these masterpieces!

I find the sunburst guilloche pattern to be extremely elegant and no doubt will gleam and present a different look depending on how the light hits the dial.

I like the grained silver dial a lot as well, but because of the silver hands and markers, I find the dial to be a bit muted and almost a tad bare.  Clearly it's not, but it's the first impression I get when looking at it.

Of course, thanks again for the beautiful pictures of this amazing watch!

I reviewed this important watch last month. Here is the link for those who want to re read it: www.watchprosite.com Even though I couldn't see the white grained dial in the reality during my last visit at the Manufacture, I prefer it to the Guillo...

I really love all of JLC's sand-grain dials...

however, I would have liked to see blue hands for the subdials, just to make this "pop a little more....maybe even blue day/date/month, too. I'd like to see some mock-ups of those. -Dean

The blue dial looks cheesy. Overwrought and gauche.

The blue dial for me. I am not convinced of the moon-phase display of the silver/white dial which IMHO looks a little ... clumsy. At least at the pics the moon display of the blue dial looks more subtle to me. Best, Thomas
