Lock down and watch winding problem

 By: sebks : April 5th, 2020-04:23
Problem with lock down is that we don’t move enough to wind our watches... My BP power reserve was close to empty So I decided to put it on my special watch winder. You can recognize a good winder by a few key characteristics: A good disc to spin the watc...

Great watch

..sadly a bit too big for my wrist.

One of my all time favorites..

..I’ve had two, but sold them both to finance other watches. Hoping to get a ‘keeper’ 500901 in the next couple of months. It is a big watch, but somehow it’s not garish or ott, it’s just such a great design that works.

Nah, still too pricey for me even used. The 5009 is sufficient for my needs, or even a 5004 (which is what I had before)

I do like the orange lined strap so I think I’ll get the 5009 and order a strap from iwc

Any pics of that strap? [nt]

Just checked 10 min ago on the car as I could not find it online. Good they did not go cheap for a 1.8 tons car able to cruise at 280 km/h

Ahh! I see it now!

One of the pistons was hiding behind the spokes. It's not necessarily that more pistons are better, it just means that the caliper can press the pad more evenly onto the rotor. The more even distribution of pressure means that the pad develops less hot sp...

Interesting! I would have thought it's the same as the RS5 Sportback's

In the US, this is what we get on that model: ...

It's an S model, not an R model.

Audi probably wants to make R model owners feel they've got something a little more special than S models.

Oh! Oops! You're right! I was so focused on the brakes and not the engine cover!

I only saw the "S" on the brakes. Hmm, good point then about the RS4 and RS5. They are similar cars in size. I guess that Audi gives the two door variant a small edge.

Rs4 indeed

The caliper says “RS” but the R is hidden by the spoke. I love the “stealthyness” of the car, I got the RS badges removed in the factory so only way to spot it is to know the small differences with the S and “standard” A4

Very nice machine!
