The faces look nice, but for me the extra branding junks up the backside.
Not a fan of partner branding on watches (OK - Patek / Tiffany aside).
I noticed this in the release, and I wonder how it works:
Last year, IWC introduced the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Edition “Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One™ Team”. The official team watch is worn by the team, including designers, aerodynamicists, race engineers, strategists and mechanics.
Does IWC just deliver a giant crate of watches to the partner at the beginning of the season. Do the watches get returned, or do the employees get to keep them? What happens if an employee wears another brand,,,

Could these be thinner with a solid case back?

Just saw these in person in Las Vegas
They are very cool and don't wear overly large. I love the F1 version. The petronas blue accents are subtle and add a sporty touch. Even though I am not team Mercedes.
