reading through the iwc catologue , they suggest 6 bar water resistance is fine for swimming , do either of you know if the kevlar strap is ok with water at all?

swimming with IWC top gun

i see the top gun comes with a kevlar strap.Does anyone see any reason why you cannot swim with this watch / strap combination or have any better ideas?

While it is claimed to be waterproof, I dunno if you really want to swim with it

Perhaps you want to check on the gaskets ect just to be sure? It would be quite a heartache to send it back for repairs. cheers PAt

My IWC UTC is my go-to vacation (including swimming) watch.

It has 60m water resistance and a screw-down crown. I have had no problem with it. If the Top Gun has those characteristics (and its gaskets are in good order), it seems to me you should be able to swim with it.
