It's a nice watch...but I thought there was a controversy about in house movement.

there movement is somewhat similar to the 7750 although IWC did do a lot of changes. IWC claimed it was entirely in house but issue remains and I believe that may have contributed to the lack of popularity. At the same time the other big watches were popular too, Panerai and Rolex to name a few. I still think it's a decent watch with heritage and nice design. Worth a punt at the right price and condition.

There seems no love for 3227....many have owned and sold off. It’s as heavy as a Rolex PT but cost lesser.... It has a lot of size on the wrist....it’s the weight that puts collector off? Or the boring edges? In-house movements 3227-01 3227-12 (1 of 200.)...

It was head heavy and I could never get the proper fit with the bracelet (even with a half link), so the watch tended to flop around when I wore it and it was not that comfortable. I bought the IWC Kevlar strap to try and fix the issue but I much preferre...
