I went back to the merchant at the last minute and was able to 'trade up' to this version. More legible, among other things.

Hot on the heels of a DJ 16018 and a GP Calibre 352 is this IWC Perpetual Calendar ref. IW3750-30

It's nice to see a few examples of this watch here, and of watches that followed. This particular one is on its way, and I hope to get my hands on it in a couple of week's time. It happens to be one of Tim Mosso's favourite watches (and he's a JLC man). ...

Hello, It's 39mm.

Here is Tim Mosso lavishing praise on it, and situating its historical significance: www.youtube.com

And here is a more detailed appreciation of this watch's significance

Yes, I saw your earlier posts referencing yours. This was one of those occasions where I visited fora after finding my way to a watch, and it's been interesting to gather the perspectives of current and previous owners.

A classic, timeless watch with much style!

And it‘s really perfect to wear. I owned this model in WG with white dial. You can’t do anything wrong with this super attractive PC. The lugs are “special”. There are not anyone’s taste. But I loved them and love also now the lugs at my IW3754-07. These ...

P.S.

Many congrats and keep us informed. I would love to see some honeymoon wrist shots of yours. 😊

Many thanks. It’s clear you were very fond of yours.

Did I understand correctly that you let yours go? I never sell watches though I do occasionally gift them. Also, I have a surprise that will be revealed when I post live photographs. More soon. Best regards.

Yes, you have read correctly.

I was so silly / foolish/ stupid to sell my 3750 about 15 years ago. It was part of a trade-in for a watch I even don’t own anymore. After that it took me about 15 years to correct my mistake. With the 3754-07: Happy end. At last. 😊 Best Thomas ...

Thank you!

This was the first watch they I saw in the 1980s that got me hooked on watches. It is a classics. Wear it in good health. CB.

I'm going to make an admission. At the last minute I made a switch. Here's what I got instead...

... and I couldn't be more pleased. These are stock photos of course. Live photos and a detailed breakdown once it's in my possession. ...

I just wished

that the hands were white as well. Love this watch and this version, but I find it not easy to read. George

Here is an advertisement for the IW375003 from 1990.

It begins, "The Da Vinci from IWC could become your ultimate legacy to a descendant 12 generations from now." I'm both entertained by - and in awe of - any product that can be built with such long timeframes in mind. ...

Here it is.

Did I mention I made a last-minute switch and opted for yellow gold? There are a good number of these watches in both steel and gold available on the market, alongside later iterations. You can even pick up replacement sealed vials containing the addition...

Very nice!! Many congrats! 😃

You took a red strap? The combination looks beautiful. As far as we can see. To buy a second vial was indeed a good idea! All the best and enjoy your honeymoon Thomas

Hi. It’s actually a mid-brown alligator strap. The red you see are the security tags.

And yes, the second vial is a precaution that I hope this watch won’t need during its long life.
