Not that far off considering it's an L.E.

...

It is really nice with this dial color!

How big is it? 46 mm?

 By: amanico : June 16th, 2021-15:44

Ok, thanks!

Always liked the white and light coloured dials on the BPs.

A buddy owned the Japan LE, and I was very close on buying the DFB LE back in 2012. Picture credit: ...

I don’t understand the relation between a BP and Las Vegas

To me this is just another new reason to milk the cow 😂 What’s next? BP for marathon? Laurent

Agree 100%

I can’t think of a more disparate juxtaposition…perhaps a Ploprof Opera edition??

That’s a gamble ;-))

And the silliness continues…

 By: mdg : June 16th, 2021-21:33
…what’s next…a limited edition celebrating the park bench I’m sitting on now? Either way, IWC gets none of my money until they figure out how to build a movement without using Legos.

Love the white dial and date...

 By: cshimokita : June 16th, 2021-22:47
not so much the black date background... ;-)

That's because the date wheel came from the base Big Pilot 501001

By: India Whiskey Charlie : June 16th, 2021-22:57
IWC doesn't customize date wheels matching them to the dial colors too often.

The black date background kills it for me. Otherwise it's a great watch

I Will not be purchasing it. I’m saving for the BP perpetual calendar.

And... they actually do have a white date wheel they could have used

By: India Whiskey Charlie : June 17th, 2021-13:23
IMO, the best BP in the current lineup is the "01" ...

I wonder why they chose the black date background Since they have a date wheel with a white background?

I can’t imagine that it was just laziness. You would think someone on the design team would have an aesthetic eye and would see how the black date on the white dial sticks out like a sore thumb. I wonder how this happened.? Maybe there’s a bunch of yes-me...

Personally, I think the current design team knows it's catering to a whole different generation of buyers

Who appear to accept anything. That said, mismatched date wheels have existed a very long time especially on high-end pricey timepieces (like below). Many just plain don't care about small details like this and that's why manufacturers get away with it. S...

One stands out from the crowd...

...

Fully agree!

And I have never understood why even Patek doesn’t act here on a higher level… Best Thomas

Interesting!

I guess we all missed that part: " And two, the date display at 6 o’clock cycles through alternating red and black numbers (like the game) until it comes to the beginning of each month when the number “1” appears in green ."

Nice detail.

 By: amanico : June 18th, 2021-13:57

Totally agree with that.

Te rivets are an important aesthetic IMO.

Cheaper plain straps... 😔
