Finally a post for this duo IWC Yacht Club with special dial

Yacht Club R811 is never discussed nor popular. This watch is not too rare, with a few different dials. There are a few similar IWC with similar case designs or movements from late 60s or early 70s, while some of them only mark AUTOMATIC on the dial. I was not considering one for myself until June this year.

When I went into a watch shop browsing around, all the watches marked with price but one. I was wondering what that is, and the shop manager showed me that and he said this was his own watch. When I handled it, the first question is if this is a real green Yacht Club. I thought whether the dial is damaged. Under the loop, I can see the dial is not damaged but built with this pattern. The date wheel is having the same pattern as well. Then I took a trigger after had a long thought. After the research in google, understand the material is unknown but only called marble dial or bubble dial. I also thought whether this is a lapis dial. Whatever that is, I am happy about it. And I learnt there was one blue 'marble dial' also surfaced in the past but never thought of seeing one.

2 weeks ago. Accidentally seen a blue one in one online shop. And it was an impulse buy.

Since last Friday, these 2 Yacht Club R811AD are united ....
